Eclipse Engineering
The client came to The Signman requesting interior lettering behind the reception desk of their office. The client had initially proposed plastic letters, with the C have a colored plastic eclipse. I pushed for the much better looking brushed stainless steel letters, but the client was not 100% on board because of the extra cost involved. However, once I proposed idea of just lighting the C in Eclipse, the client was immediately all in. They became super excited. I explained to them that I could mount the LED strip in such a way that the majority of the light would be reflected outward, effectively creating an eclipse around the C. Even though this doubled the cost to the client, they loved it so much, that after it was installed, they ordered a second set for us to install in their conference room. I utilized an RGB controller to adjust the LEDs, allowing the client to infinitely adjust the colors. They also really enjoyed this feature and used it to represent the local sports teams on game day.
